Prague

After an extended photo session through central Prague I found quite a lot of artistic architecture and features to shoot. Here are the results.

St Ives

A selection of shots from a recent trip to St. Ives, in Cornwall, UK. The sun was shining, giving me excellent opportunities to play with my polarising filters.

Slanic, Romania - salt mine

Salt has been mined at Slanic since prehistoric times. One of the more recent mines - or some galleries in it - are open to the public. These are about 200m below the ground and the galleries are about 50m high and 20 wide. Huge (see pic 13). Apart from the size, it's a bit like a huge art gallery with fantastic and beautiful strata. The mine was poorly lit and exposures were 1/4s or thereabouts, which may explain any fuzziness.

Slanic, Romania - garden

I stayed a weekend with friends at Slanic - a village in the Carpathians north of Bucharest. The garden was their escape from their busy working lives and gave me some light and photos early in the mornings. The dog and cat were shared with a nearby house.
